From an early age, I faced significant obstacles that could have easily deterred my spirit. Diagnosed with dyslexia after being held back in first grade, I chose not to let those challenges define my future. Instead, I harnessed my faith and self-taught strategies to overcome my learning disabilities. Through hard work and staying strong in the Lord and His promises, I earned both a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA.
Joshua 1:9 reminds us: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
I deeply resonate with the struggles of feeling inadequate and battling self-doubt. Having fought anorexia, I allowed negative self-talk to distort my perception of the beautiful creation that God intended me to be. However, through God’s grace, I learned to see myself as He sees me—a cherished child of God. This transformative perspective empowered me to confront my challenges head-on. Holding onto the belief that, with God’s strength, I could overcome anything became my lifeline, guiding me through even the darkest days.
Today, I stand firm in the truth that I am enough, embraced fully as a beloved child of God.
1 John 3:1 speaks to this truth: “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”
Ultimately, my heart is for Jesus. Through every challenge and triumph, I find renewed purpose in sharing His light with others.
I have been blessed to host "Faith Conversations", a weekly podcast where I engage with others about faith, resilience, and purpose, believing that sharing our stories can inspire and uplift.
Additionally, I started the Your Fees Are Paid Clinic, an initiative dedicated to organizing inspiring events for young people that blend athletic skill development with spiritual growth. Our mission is to help youth excel in rodeo sports while fostering a foundation of faith, fellowship, and character that extends beyond the arena of life.
Matthew 5:16 reminds us: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
