If only I had tried harder, put more effort into it and not let myself get distracted. Have you ever reflected on moments in your life and realized that a little more effort or time could have led to different outcomes? I was thinking about that as I was watching, our high school track meet. Thousands of amazing athletes and I reflected back on my time in high school, and I had a passion for running what if what if I would've pushed harder? what if I would've trained harder? What if I would not have been afraid to go all in? What could have I done?
I believe this could also apply to our relationship with God.
Doors were open to me in the past to deepen my connection with Christ, to spend more time together, but I frequently neglected to make it a priority. I chose to fit him in when it worked for me, and I often put other things ahead of him. I may not be to go back and redo things.
I can choose to do things today that will make all of the tomorrows better.
I can choose to start my day with God.
I can choose to slow down ask him for knowledge and wisdom.
I can choose to spend more time in his word.
I can choose what I watch, listen to and who I am with
I can choose to join in fellowship with others.
So, we cannot go back we can always go forward , I can choose how to use the time I have to bring him honor and glory. I am not perfect. I'm progressing.
