His first encounter with Jesus came at a young age, through a church service he happened to attend while goats were being tied up for a rodeo in Missouri. Sitting in the grandstands, Rope listened to the gospel invitation and, at just twelve years old, responded by accepting Christ. That moment planted a seed that would grow deeper over the years.

Rope's journey took a turn when he met his wife, Candice. Her faith and encouragement drew him closer to God, especially as he faced the pressures of rodeo life and personal ambitions.
