Have you ever experienced this? You're working hard toward something, you put yourself out there, and you try—but things don’t go as planned.
What’s your first instinct?
Do you recoil, rewind, or beat yourself up? Or do you pause, see what’s good about the situation, and consider what you can do to make it even better?
I have to admit, sometimes my first instinct is to pull back and ask, “Why did I even step out?” I want to retreat and think, “I never want to do that again.” But the truth is, God isn’t asking us to recoil. He’s asking us to step out in faith—not in our own abilities, but in His.
The Bible defines faith as “confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1).
Sometimes, what we’re dreaming about or working toward feels out of reach, so far away that we can hardly see it. In John 14:13-14 (NKJV), Jesus says: "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it."
God desires to know your dreams, your passions, your desires.
He wants to know your heart, and He wants you to know His.
He longs for a relationship with us.
In 3 John 1:2, it says: "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." What we do is not of our own accord but through His strength. It’s not for our glory, but for His. Imagine stepping out into something you’ve never thought possible—yet in your heart, you’ve always held that dream or passion. As you pray, believe, and step out in faith, you’ll see it begin to manifest. Ephesians 3:20-21 reminds us: "Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
Think about that: It’s not about us. It’s about Him—"to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. "And it’s not for our glory, but for His—"to Him be the glory."
This is an act of worship and praise, acknowledging that God alone deserves all honor, credit, and majesty for His limitless power and grace.
Isn’t it wonderful that through our relationship with God, He shapes the desires of our hearts? He invites us to come to Him in prayer and ask for whatever we desire, trusting that He will do far more than we can imagine. And everything points back to His glory, His goodness, and His purpose—so that we can be lights to others, pointing them to Him and giving Him all the praise.
But we must stand in faith as we bring our petitions before Him.
Faith doesn’t always mean immediate results. It means standing firm on His promises, trusting Him even when we can’t see the manifestation right away. In a world full of highlight reels, it’s easy to believe that success comes overnight, that failure and setbacks are nonexistent, and that every step is smooth sailing.
We often forget that the path to victory includes corrections, setbacks, and mountains we must climb.
Sometimes, when we’re trusting God and stepping out in faith, we need to focus on what’s good—what’s blessing us right now. Success isn’t instant. It’s a journey. We’re not called to walk this alone. We’re invited to partner with our Heavenly Father, who loves us immensely and desires good things for our lives. As we step out in faith, we’ll recognize His gifts—sometimes in ways we don’t expect.
Remember, success is a journey, not a quick fix. Keep stepping out in faith.
Trust that your Heavenly Father is with you every step of the way—guiding, strengthening, and empowering you.
You are not alone—He’s with you, always. Step out in faith.
